I have a great idea to add on to my last!! The boy could lead the tiger to a volcano and say that there was endless food in there but there was actually a dragon in there!

Perhaps the tiger could have slept under the tree, and protected it, when the tiger died, beacause it also helped the public the village promiced to look after the tree.
